Enterprise wide Unified Communications Platform

This UCS has been developed as an effort to eliminate duplicative purchasing, reliance on antiquated processes, overall reduction in operating cost, simplification of application delivery, and leveraging underutilized or unrealized current resources in a secure approved manner. The implementation of such a system will allow for service to be provided without the probability of interruption. It will also reduce the overall workload, time spent providing direct support to the end users; resulting in more time spent with patients with greater availability to all aspects of MHS and local branch communications systems. Properly implementing standards based non-proprietary Unified Communication Systems will provide access to a personal office at any conceivable location or time. This project directly affects patient care as it is the proper backbone of a telemedicine experience. If executed properly it can be implemented regionally, enterprise wide, and supported by coming cloud technologies.
